I see in Wired that Nintendo executive Laurent Fischer claims that only "geeks and otaku" want more storage capacity for downloadable games on their Wiis. It shows you how confident Nintendo is; they're not afraid to poke fun at the people most eager to give them more business. Say, "I want more space on my Wii so I can buy and download more of your games" and they just say "naw, you have enough games already."
I hate to break it to Mr. Fischer, but without geeks and otaku, the video game industry would go back to being some guys working on stuff in their garage. And Mr. Fischer would be working for a company making pipe cleaners.

I sense a Nintendo backlash from the public. I don’t know how many versions of a DS you can push on the public before the tipping point . I don’t even know how many versions there are now . I stopped buying or caring about Nintendo about 6 months after the Wii was boxed up and put in a cupboard. I would have been more interested if Nintendo brought out a regular Game console with nice graphics in HD and a regular Gamecube type controller with a good online plan .That’s all a hardcore gamer wants
