My Review
I think I use the file manager WiiXplorer more than any other homebrew application. I actually have no choice; I have an old SD card reader that won't read the 4 GB SD card I have in my Wii. If I want to copy something to that card, I have to put it on a USB drive and use WiiXplorer to copy it to my SD card.
It's a really nice, professional program with a standard file manager interface. It's easy to use and intuitive. Not only can you move and edit files, but you can run applications through it.
Since I copy files a lot, I am keenly aware of how limited it is in that regard. If I want to copy a file from my USB drive, I have to load the USB drive, find the file, bring up the context menu on the file, select copy, then load the SD card, find the location I want and click paste. It's also possible to copy a folder, but it's not possible, so far as I can tell, to select multiple files and copy them all at once, so sometimes I have to do this operation several times.
So it's not perfect, but it is essential.
