Software giant and newcomer to the console industry (if you can still call them that after nearly four years), today announced a voluntary recall on the power cords of 14.1 million Xbox units. Apparently about 1 in every 10,000 are capable of overheating, in some instances causing damage to the Xbox or items around it. In all regions outside of continental Europe, the recall applies to Xbox consoles manufactured before Oct. 23, 2003, and before Jan. 13th, 2004 inside of continental Europe. While not technically Nintendo news, its always good to keep our fellow console goers aware of their options. To find out how to order a replacement cord, visit Microsoft's Xbox site here.
