What's amazing about the Mario conversion of Doki Doki Panic is not so much what Nintendo did change, it's how little they changed. In preparing for a major U.S. and European gaming announcement, they changed very little substance in the game; the graphic sprites were not really all that much to do. Enemies and level design don't change at all. As well as looking at the differences between Doki Doki Panic and Mario Brothers 2, we're going to take some time to see what didn't change, too.

Interesting Note:
  • 1. There are very few changes to actual gameplay. One of them, though, is the ability to run. Holding down a button in Super Mario 2 lets your character run faster. In Doki Doki Panic, this isn't the case.
