Of all the N64 mods that are available on the Internet, no ROM has been as extensively and as skillfully modified as The Legend of Zelda games. One of the more extensive and well known Zelda modifications is called Federelli's Zelda Retexture pack. In the screenshot pictured above, you can see how Link's shield looks different, with high resolution artwork and some slight artistic tweaks. Most of the screenshots provided in this gallery are split to show you the same scene from the original game, and as it is after a little doctoring from more modern equipment. Besides Link's shield, the screenshots show that the Heads Up Display and user interface have been completely reworked. Also included in that list are a number of items, locations, maps, characters, and textures. Take a look at the additional screenshots and see for yourself.
