Gamers anxiously awaiting a Wii-U version of the Virtual Console, a system currently on the Wii and 3DS for downloading and playing games originally released for older consoles like the N64 and the Sega Genesis, will have to wait a while longer, according to Polygon, who was told by a Nintendo representative that the company is "moving ahead with development" but can't offer any specifics. The representative did say that you will be able to play VC games on either the TV or gamepad.
The question not answered is, will the Wii U's virtual console offer Game Cube titles? Perhaps even some Sega Dreamcast games? Let's keep our fingers crossed.
