With an announcement from Nintendo regarding the Wii U launch date coming closer and closer, we're running out of time to make guesses about it. WeGotThisCovered is guessing some game reservation cards shown in GoNintendo are indicating a December console launch.
The cards, which allow you to reserve copies of ZombiU and Super Mario Bros. U for a dollar each, have "do not sell card after 11.30.12" on the back. The card also says it expires "7 days from release date."
WeGotThisCovered feels this suggests a December release date for the Wii U, since it would most likely indicate the two games, which are supposed to be launch titles, won't ship until at least December 1.
But don't start laying down bets yet. First off, as of now there's just one source that these cards even exist. Second, they could be mock-ups; if Target really knows when ZombiU is launching, why does their website say it's coming out on December 31, 2025?
Also keep in mind that neither game has been officially announced as a launch title; they're just listed as coming out this year. So there is no guarantee they will launch simultaneously with the console.
