Did you know that if you put lithium batteries in a Wii remote it can explode? I didn't either. Apparently it's in the manual somewhere (not that it can explode, just that it's not a good idea), but I knew nothing about it until I read this story in Kotaku about a family who came home to find their remote in charred pieces. The first thing I thought was, now someone is going to try and explode a Wii remote on purpose in the way people put metal into microwave ovens. So to help you scientists out, here's shopping links for Wii remotes and lithium batteries. And remember, about.com and this author do not take any responsibility for readers doing stupid things like trying to explode their remotes, so don't come crying to me when your fingers get blown off.
